Poster of The Tonight Show's Doc Severinsen Playing w/ the UCHS Bands
Here's a picture we shot of a poster held on to by Roger Warner, the U. City High School band director from 1961-1973, when we visited him in Denton, Texas back in 2011. It's a poster from a concert in May of 1967 by the U. City bands after a teach-in for the day by Doc Severeinsen (the soon to be leader of The Tonight Show Band with Johnny Carson) for the whopping sum of $1 at the U. City High Auditorium.

Letter from the St. Louis Post Dispatch
The band was so good and had been reported on so many times by the Post Dispatch that the paper had to inform Roger Warner that they had to report on other schools because of complaints even though they didn't want to.
